Riva di Solto and lake Iseo, the surroundings
A little less than an hour from Milan, Brescia and Bergamo, the suggestive village of Riva di Solto has a medieval heart made up of enchanting alleys dating back to the 13th century. The boats of the fishermen stored in the most hidden corners and the old houses furnished in the austere style of the industrious villages seal the atmosphere of a timeless place. The main square opens to modern aperitif bars, wine bars and typical restaurants. From the shore, a boat allows you to embark for an unforgettable visit to the lake; at the exit in the direction of Lovere the coast road turns into a nothing short of amazing stretch: the mountain curls up on itself in the ravine of Bogn, generating countless passages under natural arches and giving exposed bends close to the lake.
Besides you can visit the ancient villages of Montisola, elected third best European destination of 2019 and largest lake island in central and southern Europe, immerse yourself in nature, discover the famous cellars of Franciacorta and be enchanted by Tavernola and Lovere, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. A few minutes away are Colere, Montecampione and Monte Pora for walking and skiing, Valcamonica for archaeological tourism with its 300 thousand rock engravings, the Presolana massif for altitude excursions and Boario for the spa.
